iPad Survival Guide – Step-by-Step User Guide for Apple iPad:
The iPad Survival Guide organizes the wealth of knowledge about the iPad into one place, where it can be easily accessed and navigated for quick reference. Unlike the official iPad manual, the survival guide is not written like a book in paragraph form. Instead, every instruction is broken down into clear and concise steps.
The iPad Survival Guide provides useful information not discussed in the iPad manual, such as tips and tricks, hidden features, troubleshooting advice, as well as advice on how to solve various Wi-Fi issues. You will also learn how to download FREE games and FREE eBooks, how to PRINT right from your iPad, and how to make VOICE CALLS with the use of a simple application. Whereas the official iPad manual is stagnant, this guide goes above and beyond by discussing recent known issues and solutions that may be currently available. This information is constantly revised for a complete, up-to-date manual.

User Reviews
I bought the download of this manual based on a review that indicated this was more than the basic manual that you can get on the Apple website. I didn't find this to be true at all. There were almost no hints that I didn't already know with the exception that the iPad can use Skype for phone calls if you want to pay the Skype fee. I'd rather use my desk top computer with webcam and see my caller for free. I wonder if a future generation of iPad will include a webcam. If you've been using your iPad successfully, I don't think this manual is worthwhile to purchase.

This guide contains a large amount of valuable information! If you are new to the iPad this is the guide that you should definitely have. It is packed with so much information. It is basically a user guide but also has some nifty tips and tricks that I didn't even know about. The best part of this guide is that it's organized and has an interactive table of contents. For an example say you wanted some information about eBooks, you can click that section in the table of contents and it will take you to that portion of the book. It saves you the trouble of scrolling through pages and pages of information. I like the fact that this guide lists about two dozens sites where you can download free eBooks. It also provides an in-depth section on Mobile Reference which is very useful! This book is more than a user guide. It has helped me out a lot. I was even able to find a really good printing application because this guide mentioned it. I highly recommend it! -- Organized with Interactive Table of Contents
I am a more advanced user who has owned Apple products for years. I thought I knees everything about the iPad, but this manual definitely opened my eyes to some cool shortcuts and hidden tricks. Apple certainly worked hard to hide such things as tacking screenshots and uploading eBooks you have purchased elsewhere. I was glad I could learn something new from this book! -- Full of hidden tricks!
When I first saw this I thought it might be another one of those useless manuals as provided by Apple. I was pleasantly surprised by this well-crafted instructions for the iPad. I never read manuals out of the box with any device because they are horrible. This was definitely not anything close to reading one of those manuals. Excellent work! -- Excellent work!
I started reading this guide when I just purchased iPad and I find myself coming back to it again and again for a quick reference. -- Very helpful guide
