i have to say this product fits the ipad snugly and will perform the main perpose i have for it; which is to protect my ipad and position it for handless viewing while i'm in the go.

i also got myself a polypropelyne cover for when i use my ipad at home to protect the aluminium finish, and the ipad with the cover fit in this cover. that way i don't have to keep alternating between the back cover and this folio.. they work fine together!

i would say not to bother with looking for a real leather finish. the plastic used here looks rich enough and has a slightly padded feel. i might think that the real leather version would use cheap leather product that might come off cheaper looking and may be difficult to clean.

there is no smell to this plastic too, unlike comments on other plastic coated leather versions. -- as good as any similar product i can imagine!

Looks like a normal paper notepad folio looks like it should last a while with normal use.

I don't really like the wrap around magnetic latch. Would prefer the magnet be built into the cover and latch onto the flap that holds the ipad.

The folding cover holds the ipad in display mode well, although the bumps on the inside cover in ineffective and not needed. I would rather see this space used for a little soft cushion to protect the screen and make the ipad more comfortable to hold when the folio is flipped open.

I don't understand the usefulness of the external elastic strap and the only real complaint is that the folio cover isn't stiff enough to stay square with the ipad when opened so you generally end up with it at a couple degrees off (Imagine folding paper in half at a slight angle and you get a corner dog eared up.)

I haven't checked out the $50 folios, but I suspect they probably are not much different. -- Good price, good case.

Now days, it seems like everything is called leather. This is definitely not leather based on my years of experience working with leather materials. I have never really expected it to be leather considering the low price.
Unless it specifically says Genuine Leather, it is most likely not.

The quality of this iPad case is really good. The design is very practical. Offers several different horizontal viewing positions. Nice to watch video or browse internet. A little bit difficult to type on at the angles offered.

The material is definitely NOT leather. It is kind of synthetic leather material. but, that is perfect fine for me. For the price, it is unbeatable. The case is very well constructed and designed. I might buy another real leather one later if I have more money to spare. But as of now, this serves the purpose. I love it.

We own 5 iPads in the family and bought several different kinds of cases. This one by far is the best in design, feel and value. The material feels like leather. I almost thought it was. But, I guess it is not since the seller said it is leather-like. It feel really good though. Soft, durable and texture rich.
The case offers several adjustable positions. I can use it comfortably on the lap, desk or in bed. The strap on the side can actually go onto the car seat. I did feel that the strap will eventually got loosen over time though.
We really like this case and plan to buy another one in real leather. -- The best case for ipad
